Access/Visitor Limits In Response to H1N1 Flu
Good Samaritan Hospital is controlling access to the hospital in response to an increase in apparent H1N1 flu in the community.
- Access is limited to the Main Entrance, the East Entrance and, for patients seeking emergency care, the Emergency Entrance. Visitors cannot enter the hospital through the Emergency Entrance.
- Children under 14 years of age may not visit patients.
- People with signs or symptoms of flu may not visit patients.
- Only two healthy visitors at a time per patient are permitted in nursing units.
- Except for specific compassionate reasons, visitors will not be admitted after 8 p.m.
The hospital put these limitations in place to protect the health and safety of patients and front-line healthcare workers.
